Dr Dhatrak obtained his medical degree in 2001 and received his Doctorate of Medicine in Pathology in 2003 from the University of Mumbai, India. He joined the Anatomical Pathology Registrar training program at SA Pathology in 2007 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia in 2012.
He has been working as a Consultant Anatomical Pathologist since 2012 at the Royal Adelaide Hospital site and provides general Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology consultation services. His areas of specialty interest are head and neck pathology and haematolymphoid pathology.
Dr Dhatrak provides pathology input for the Head and Neck Multidisciplinary Team meeting at the Royal Adelaide Hospital as well as the Oncology Multidisciplinary Team meeting at Mount Gambier Hospital.
He is actively involved in teaching and training of the Anatomical Pathology Registrars. He also actively participates in various Breast Cancer Research Projects with the Breast Cancer Genetics Group in the School of Medicine at the University of Adelaide.
