COVID-19 is now a controlled notifiable condition under the South Australian Public Health Act 2011.
Doctors and diagnostic laboratories are required to notify SA Health Communicable Disease Control Branch (CDCB) with a suspected or confirmed case, online or phone 1300 232 272.

Patient results
We will send results direct to the patient via a text message or call them on their nominated phone number – they don’t need to register for this service.

  • Please include a valid patient mobile phone number on the request form.
  • Results can be sent to the patient’s GP via iPath, EDI or fax if requested. The Call Centre is unable to give out results to patients.
  • Please indicate on the pathology request form if results are to be faxed.
