12 Panel Respiratory Testing is Now Available

Full panel respiratory testing is now available at SA Pathology COVID-19 testing sites with a GP request form.

Testing covers:

  • Influenza A and B
  • Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)
  • Parainfluenza 1,2,3
  • Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV)
  • Rhinovirus
  • Adenovirus
  • Mycoplasma pneumoniae
  • Bordetella pertussis
  • COVID-19

  • Detection of a broad range of pathogens using NAT
  • Early viral identification avoids unnecessary prescription of antibiotics and appropriate prescription of antivirals
