New iPath offers improved access to pathology results
28 January 2022
A recent upgrade to iPath, SA Pathology's web-based result delivery solution is delivering enhanced functionality and improved access to patient results anywhere, anytime, regardless of whether the clinician is the requesting or "copy to" doctor.
Featuring a new streamlined look, our enhanced search functionality gives the clinician the ability to search for patients results that they did not request and were not copied in to, including results available in the public hospital system.
iPath also provides a handy dashboard feature with the ability to flag patients, giving you faster access to their results.
Clinicians can search by patient using patient demographic details, including by UR number or by result using the laboratory accession number.
This enhanced functionality has been developed to optimise the continuity of care that patients receive by allowing clinicians to access all* results for diagnostic pathology tests performed by SA Pathology.
Existing users can contact SA Pathology to update their profile to the new functionality.
To set up an iPath account or to update your current profile, please contact our Marketing team on 8222 3355 or email Health.SAPathologyMarketing@sa.gov.au.
* Note that some results will not be available due to confidentiality requirements.

A/Prof Tom Dodd
