Associate Professor Bryone Kuss is a senior consultant haematologist, qualifying in 1993. She obtained a PhD in molecular genetics from Adelaide University in 1997 and has been a recipient of Fellowships from the NHMRC, Royal Society of London and RACP for the study of molecular mechanisms in leukaemia.

Currently, she is the clinical head of Molecular Genetics at Flinders Medical Centre and Associate Professor in Molecular Medicine Flinders University.

Her current research interests are in the mechanisms of drug resistance and prognostic factors in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). She is a founding member of the CLL Australian Research Consortium and provides the central diagnostic facility for this group in clinical trials.

Her aims are to ensure a state-of-the-art diagnostic facility for CLL and lymphoma, and ongoing collaborative research in these diseases in conjunction with Dr Peta Macardle, Head of the Flow Cytometry Facility, FMC.
