Associate Professor Tamas Revesz

Associate Professor Revesz has trained in Hungary, the UK and the US. He worked in the Netherlands before joining the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and was Head of the Haematology-Oncology team from 2004 to 2009. He is currently a Senior Consultant.
In addition to his laboratory and clinical duties, he teaches local medical students and students from overseas who spend their elective periods in the department.
He is currently the Australia-New Zealand Coordinator of the IntReALL international study on childhood relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Childhood Haematology and Oncology Group’s Leukaemia/Lymphoma Committee.
Associate Professor Revesz has a long-standing interest in the biology and treatment of childhood leukaemia and has published over 160 peer-reviewed papers on the subject. His other major contributions are in the area of bone marrow transplantation, bone marrow failures and coagulation disorders.
