Ensuring Continuity of Care

26 June 2019

Since commencing the uploading of SA Pathology reports to My Health Record on 22 May, South Australian clinicians can now benefit from the ability to see a patient’s results with only the click of a button or two rather than awaiting discharge summaries or spending time on the phone with a hospital.

And in a new move for South Australia, the same is also occurring for tests that community clinicians themselves have requested from the public provider.

Given there has been over 360,000 reports uploaded by SA Pathology since commencing on 22 May, many clinicians and patients will benefit from this integration with My Health Record.

The below national graph in particular highlights how significant is SA Pathology’s participation (diagnostic reports uploads pro-rated to population).
