The Victor Harbor Laboratory was established 34 years ago and has remained a constant source of stability within healthcare through the Fleurieu Peninsula.
The laboratory looks after surrounding communities far and wide, from McLaren Vale to Kangaroo Island.
Ambreen Warsi, Laboratory manager, says the wonderful thing about working in a regional laboratory like Victor Harbor is that “we all combine and make a difference to the patient outcome.”
Regional laboratories are multi-disciplined, meaning that often no two days are the same. It also gives team members a wealth of experience and knowledge to help patients.
And at Victor Harbor, they really do, do it all.
“We see our patients face to face, so we know them, and we know that we are helping them.
We do everything from greeting them at the counter to taking their blood, testing it, and returning the results to the doctor.”
Ambreen also encourages anyone graduating to come to the regions to experience all they have to offer. “Everyone knows each other, and it’s such a friendly environment.”
Thank you Ambreen and the team at SA Pathology Victor Harbor Laboratory.
