Regional Scientific Meeting

The Riverland was the place to be last weekend as SA Pathology regional teams from across the state converged on Renmark to attend the annual Regional Scientific Meeting. A range of clinical topics were discussed including “The ABC of MCHC” and “Snake Bites” along with many others. Dr Tom Dodd, Clinical Service Director for SA Pathology also presented to the gathering. All who attended had an informative day followed by a fun evening as staff enjoyed the opportunity to get together. A special thank you to all SA Pathology staff who attended the event and presented on their topic of expertise. Your efforts were much appreciated and well received by the regional staff members.

Berri laboratory also celebrated its 50^th birthday over the weekend, with all who attended reflecting on the lab’s 50 years of providing quality pathology and critical support services to the local community. The Berri laboratory performs over 80% of the tests requested by the local clinicians who refer work from the surrounding Riverland towns. Congratulations to the laboratory manager Joice and her team of dedicated staff for their ongoing commitment and dedication to improving the health and wellbeing of the Riverland communities.
